About Us

When I started Catalyst Media 40 years ago, my goal as a young filmmaker was to produce and direct feature documentaries that could make an impact and, in some way, change the world. I believe non-fiction storytelling has the power to do that, and I aspire to nothing less – whether as an independent filmmaker or during my 20-years as an Emmy-winning network TV producer for CBS News & ABC News.

THE WAR AT HOME

“Meticulously constructed …One of the great works of American documentary moviemaking.”

“El Salvador: Another Vietnam…should be widely distributed and seen by every American who wants to think about the world this country wants to rule and overrule. Technically achieved at the highest level by Glenn Silber and Tete Vasconcellos who are probably as lucky to be alive as the audience is to view their work.”

James McCourt  |  Film Comment on El Salvador: Another Vietnam
